The Park family, homeowners in Mahogany, wanted to make better use of the space above their existing garage. Their goal was to create a private, functional suite that could serve as independent living space for extended family or future rental opportunities.
Objective
Design and build a 700 sq. ft. secondary suite that is comfortable, self-contained, and seamlessly integrated with the existing property. The space should include essential amenities while maintaining a modern and efficient layout.
Scope Convert the unused garage loft into a fully finished secondary suite. Include a kitchen, living area, private bedroom, and full bathroom. Ensure privacy and independence while keeping a welcoming, open layout. Address structural and mechanical requirements to meet Calgary building standards.
